I love the process of making cake because it is the perfect combination of creative license and strict attention to detail. And in the end, I've added a bit of beauty to the world, and hopefully given others a reason to smile, which is really what its all about, if you ask me.
But cake is awesome for a number of reasons.
Cake brings people together. It makes people happy on a very basic and organic level. Cake holds numerous spots in history and traditions around the world. It's a universal symbol of celebration. We wish on a cake annually. Cake is sometimes the only reason my 3 year old nephew will behave through a family dinner. It's pretty. It's fancy. Oh, and it's downright delicious.
So this blog is dedicated to all the cake lovers out there. Whether you're a vanilla or chocolate lover, buttercream or fondant, sprinkles or dragees, this is for you.
